MOBILE APP DEVELOPMENT FAQ

Will we own the mobile app source code?

Source-code ownership, licences, repository access, developer accounts, backend access and handover documentation should be explicit in the project agreement. We agree these responsibilities before development; third-party tools remain subject to their own terms.

Mobile app source code ownership and handover

A handover should identify the code repository, build configuration, backend services, design assets and operating instructions included in the agreement. Separate custom work from third-party libraries and hosted services so that access and licence responsibilities are clear.

Planning your mobile app project

Ask for a written checklist covering repository access, hosting and store accounts, deployment instructions and data exports. Agree maintenance responsibilities as well as ownership.
